Boating

Boating will be a large part of your lifestyle at Hidden Harbor on Lake Harris. Our breath taking wooden board walk and dock leads on to Florida’s 8th largest lake in the state. Lake county is home to over 1,000 lakes, rivers, and unlimited outdoor adventures where you can navigate between the lakes to Silver Springs, then along the St. John’s River, and finally to the Atlantic Ocean.

Bird Watching

Bird watchers living on Lake Harris will enjoy a breathtaking landscape while observing three identified nests that are home to the Cormorant, Osprey and Anhingal species. Kayaking / Canoe Trails

Lake County, Florida has recently held a grand opening for the largest selection of waterway trails in the state with 130 miles of Blueways. Blueway trails guide paddlers in kayaks or canoes by a system of markers – similar to hiking trails – through scenic waterways filled with an abundance of wildlife, identifying regional features and interesting facts. Gopher tortoises, foxes, pocket gophers and more can be spotted among shrubs, mesic and xeric hammocks and pine flatwoods along the shorelines. A wide variety of aquatic life is teeming under the water’s surface, and at any moment, you may spot a heron or sandhill crane taking flight from among the marshes.
